Runther (R/ocky and G/unther) is the love pairing between Rocky Blue and Gunther Hessenheffer. The supporters being known as the "RuntheRockerZ".
In Shake It Up, Gunther and Rocky are currently frenemies, although many fans see a great potential in this shipping.
In lots of Shake It Up episodes, such as Model It Up, Break It Up, Auction It Up, Shake It Up: Made in Japan, Vatalihootsit It Up and Hot Mess It Up, they are seen as being friends. For example, Gunther giving his compliment to Rocky saying she is the smartest girl at their school and Rocky happily accepting the compliment in Vatalihootsit It Up showing that they can be friendly at times. In the show, there are also many signs of Rocky and Gunther caring for each other. In Break It Up for example, Rocky injuring her foot and Gunther being the first to take action to help her. Gunther has also been seen comforting Rocky, as in trying to tell her everything would be alright. Also, In Shake It Up: Made In Japan, Gunther called Rocky (as well as Cece), for help after Tinka has been arrested, she quickly came and comforted Gunther and tried her best to help him get Tinka back. This love/hate relationship is supported by most of the DeCe, Tynka and Deucina shippers, and multi-shipped by most of the Rogan shippers.
Throughout the show, Rocky and Gunther show few signs of affection. They also tend to stand close to each other at times. It is possible that they might hold feelings for each other. The RuntheRockerZ have been showing their support to this couple to the Shake It Up writers, and we know they clearly are aware of the Runther fanbase. Therefore, it is possible that they may consider making it happen.
Rocky thinks that Gunther dresses and acts weird (Hot Mess It Up), but she is still nice to him. She is the one who usually tells CeCe to do something nice to/for Gunther and Tinka. She also likes that Gunther (and Tinka) thinks of her as the "boss" of the duo, not CeCe. Rocky was willing to give up Katy Perry tickets to go
to celebrate a special holiday with Gunther (And Tinka) and that shows she wants to be friendly to him. (Vatalihootsit It Up). CeCe never invited Gunther to her birthday party and she asked Rocky to tell Gunther his inventation for lost in the mail, but instead of doing what CeCe said, Rocky invited Gunther anyways hinting that she didn't want him left out. (Surprise It Up) In Auction It Up, Rocky thought Gunther (And Tinka) were nice, caring, and good friends. Also In Made In Japan, Rocky recieves Gunthers text for help to get Tinka, and she rushes to him. She is also seen trying to comfort Gunther by putting her hand on his shoulder, which shows that she really cares for Gunther and doesn't like seeing him upset.
Gunther's Opinion of Rocky
Despite his apparently ego-centric personality, Gunther thinks Rocky is the smartest girl in t
heir school (Vatalihootsit It Up). He thinks, with Tinka, Rocky is the real "boss" of the duo, while CeCe is her "little red sidekick" (Vatalihootsit It Up). Also, Gunther thinks Rocky is a sort of "witch" because she guessed the Mystery Guest really quick. (Kick It Up). Gunther seems to enjoy teasing Rocky, but he also is friendly to her at times. In Break It Up when everybody heard Rocky yell in pain from stepping on a broken bottle, Gunther was the first to take action by getting a towel to rest her feet on. He also was trying to comfort her while she was hurt. This shows that he cares for Rocky. In Shake It Up Made In Japan, Gunther texts Rocky asking her to meet him somewhere because Tinka has been arrested. This hints that Gunther can trust Rocky to help him.
Similarities Between Rocky and Gunther
There are some similarities between these two characters:
Both have a "softer side" for animals. Rocky being a vegetarian (Meatball It Up) and Gunther constantly making things for his kittens (Add It Up)
Both have a particular love for the colours and "weird" dress combinations.
Both look directly at each other in some episodes.
Both are the "good-counterpart" or "innocent one" of their friendship groups, as Tinka and CeCe usually plan things and drag them into ridiculous plans. (Add It Up, Start It Up, Hot Mess It Up, Break It Up, etc)

Both are smart. Rocky often shows her cleverness during the episodes, and in Protest It Up Gunther learned Russian in a short time, so it's possible his skills show when he is less distracted.
In Made in Japan Gunther did start to argue with the ones who stole his and Tinka's clothes but Tinka threw the first punch, Rocky is constantly having to calm Cece down. (This is written by a Gece shipper BTW)
Both are very hard-working. In Give it Up both lasted a very long time during the marathon.
They both can cook. In Show It Up , Rocky said she personally baked 500 turkeys. In Meatball It Up , Flynn asked the twins who could cook and Gunther says, "Ooh, that would be me!"
Maybe they both like books. In a episode, Tinka said "Ok ,Gunther, I will meet you at the library!".. Maybe she was saying that because that's where Gunther would be in his free time or something, and Rocky likes going to the library
Both are good models. (Gunther modeled wool sweaters at the old country, and Rocky got chosen to be a model and move to New York.)
Both are the tallest one out of their Duo. Rocky is taller than CeCe, and Gunther is taller than Tinka.
Both have weird middle names. Gunthers is Kashlack, and Rocky is Oprah. (Merry Merry it up CeCe yelled Rockys full name)
They both had a alter ego with coarse personality.
Usually, people say Rocky's and Gunther's names before Tinka's or CeCe's.
Both Rocky and Gunther love their bestfriends (Cece and Tinka) a lot and care about them.

Both Rocky and Gunther have been officially off Shake It Up Chicago. (Gunther left to the old county and could not make the audition, and Rocky didn't make It back in. {Ty It Up} )

When Rocky was cheering and said she cant believe they made it this far, Gunther mimicked her happiness.

At the end when everyone is dancing, Gunther is making a heart with his hand in the background and it looks like he was pointing it at Rocky.
Gunther and Rocky stand close to each other and tilt their heads together as they wave to the audience.
In the last scene of the episode, when Gunther said "This is Shake It Up Chicago, not "I Just Ate You Chicago", he talked directly to Rocky and took her shoulders.

When Rocky says "She does like me. EVERYBODY LIKES ME!" then Tinka says, "Not everybody." Gunther is frowning at Tinka.

During the marathon, you can see a boy with light skin and blond hair, with a girl with dark skin and brown hair resting on eachother. They are like Rocky and Gunther with how they look.
When they were about to take a break from dancing, Gunther danced past Rocky and it looked like he was trying to impress her.
When watching a dance performance on Shake It Up Chicago, Gunther was standing on one side next to Rocky and they were both clapping.
When Gary was telling everyone to pick a partner for the marathon, Rocky looked at Gunther and walked next to him maybe wanting to be his partner.
Rocky was wearing a golden sparkly design on her shirt, something Gunther would wear.

Gunther was hitting on a girl (Danielle) that looked very much like Rocky. (Darker skin tone, Brown curly hair, brown eyes), so Gunther probably asked out Danielle because she looked like Rocky.
Whenever Rocky began to gush about Justin Starr, Gunther looked jealous.
Rocky wants Gunther and Tinka to join their team so they can win.
Gunther called Rocky (and CeCe) "Bay-beeees".
When Gunther and Tinka join Candy and Randy, Rocky seems very sad and confused.
When Gunther runs off frustrated after Randy and Candy immitate them, Rocky looks horrified while CeCe just laughs.
Rocky wanted Gunther and Tinka to join their team so they can win, and CeCe just laughed thinking she was kidding.
If Rocky thought their team would win with Gunther (And Tinka) that must mean she thinks they are good dancers.
When Tinka said she admitted Rocky (And CeCe) had fabulous hair, Gunther was slightly nodding in agreement.
When Gunther did a cheer with Randy and Candy, Rocky looked upset.
When Gunther (And Tinka) were singing "I'm getting a goat for christmas" Rocky looked embarassed for them.
When Gunther, Tinka, Rocky, and CeCe all did Gunther and Tinkas way of introducing themselves saying they were going to win, Rocky was in Gunthers place and CeCe was Tinka.
Rocky looked very happy when Gunther (And Tinka) agreed to join forces with them.
When Rocky was making up what CeCe said about Gunther, it might have been what she thought about him instead.
When Tinka made Little Tinka say, "Me Too. It tears my heart out." in the studio, and she takes off the heart and puts it on Gunther's vest, when it switches back to Rocky and CeCe, Rocky's watching Gunther and fingering her necklace, with is a key with a heart on the end of the handle.
Rocky tried to keep Gunther from leaving to the old country, maybe because she would miss him a lot.

At the dance, after Gunther says "no one can see your fabulous dress out there", he turns and smiles at Rocky, who smiles back.
Rocky nudges Gunther with her elbow and says "I want to see the dress Gunther made you", in a sweet tone.

Whenever Gunther said "as my future wife", Rocky seemed a little upset.
When Rocky made the air heart, and mouth "I love you", it sort of looked like she was only making a heart around Gunther.

When Gunther explained what Vatalihootsit was, Rocky said in a sweet voice "Aww you would have been our first choice too!" and Gunther looked extremely happy and flattered.

Near the end after Gunther and Tinkas parents told Rocky (And CeCe) how much It meant to Gunther and Tinka for them to come over, Rocky gives CeCe a look meaning that they should stay to spend time with Gunther (And Tinka)
Maybe Rocky went to Gunther (And Tinkas) apartment just so she could be with Gunther.
If you watch closely, when Gunther hands Rocky the present, he accidently grabs her fingers.
Rocky wanted to make Gunther (And Tinka) happy by going to their apartment to celebrate with them.
For the dance, Gunther was behind Rocky for most of the dance.
Gunther cheered for Rocky when she jumped into the lake.
When Rocky got hurt, Gunther was the first one who knew hat to do. He set up the blanket so she could use it to put her foot in, and was the one who was obviously talking to her and touching her when CeCe ran to get her mom, plus was the one who basically told her to get her mom-- he pointed to the house urgently.
Gunther (And Tinka) gave a cardboard cutout of himself to Rocky (And CeCe) so Rocky (And CeCe) wouldn't miss Gunther (And Tinka) too much.
Near the end, Gunther and Rocky sit close together.
During the dialogue before the dance in the studio of Shake It Up Chicago, Gunther looks at Rocky many times.
When Rocky was hurt, Gunther was shown touching her knee and looking at the wound.
When Gunther and Tinka are babysitting Flynn at the campsite, Gunther says to Flynn "Don't worry". It may show that he was worried about Rocky as well.
Gunther didn't laugh at Tinka's comment about Rocky's foot, like usual. He looked at her with a glare, showing that he cared about Rocky and her wound.

When they were playing Truth or Dare, Cece asks Tinka " What was the last lie you told?" and Tinka answers "Yes, Gunther, I would love to see what they're doing at their camp fire!" This might imply that Gunther whats to see their camp fire, or Rocky.
When Deuce fell from the tree, Gunther moved closer to Rocky.
When they were sitting together, they actually seemed comfortable beside each other, as in, they are not looking at each other in disgust.
When the others are cheering for Rocky, Gunther is clapping AND (If you listen closely and watch his lips) he's whistling for her
when Rocky yells, "Guys, that was great!" right before she steps on the bottle, Gunther is the only one who looks at her when they're starting to sit down. And he's the first one to look up when she cries out.
Gunther looks in Rocky's direction with a dreamy look on his face after Ty says, "Look at Rocky, she looks like a fool!"
When CeCe is looking at Rocky's foot, so is Gunther, and when CeCe says, "Guys, that looks bad." Gunther nods slightly, agreeing, with a very worried look on his face.
When Rocky and Gunther are dancing on Shake It Up their shorts are the Runther colour
In the last scene, when Rocky and Gunther were sitting together, somebody had to end up helping her sit down because of her leg. And because Gunther is next to her, It must have been him who helped her sit. And also Gunther might have offered to sit next to Rocky.
Before the commericial break for the episode after Rocky gets hurt, you can see Gunther whispering to her and trying to make her feel better.

When CeCe was telling Gunther and Tinka to get Klause out of her apartment, Rocky looked at Gunther and smiled. Maybe to soften things up.
Gunther looked like he felt sorry for Rocky (And CeCe) when they saw what Klause did to their money.
Gunther agreed with Tinka to give Rocky (And CeCe) all the money for their dance school.
Gunther (And Tinka) handed Rocky all the money for their dance school.
When Gunther and Tinka said there was no catch for giving them the money, Rocky smiled and thought it was sweet.
Rocky mostly looked at Gunther when she was talking about how nice and caring Gunther and Tinka were for giving them the money.
Rocky said "And theres the Gunther and Tinka we know and don't love." meaning possibly if they were nicer, Rocky would love Gunther (And Tinka)
Before Gunther snatched the tickets away from Rockys hand, Rocky was staring at Gunther and had a big smile on her face.
After the dance, Gunther and Rocky exchanged many glances and smiles at each other.
Gunther called Rocky a young lady.
Rocky was jealous of Gunther and CeCe dancing together on Good Morning Chicago. In fact, she broke two mugs out of anger and jealousy, while Tinka just broke one.
Gunther "aww'd" when he read the note from Rocky to CeCe, thinking it was sweet.
Gunther didn't want to repeate Tinka's bad language in front of Rocky. (And CeCe)
Rocky was visibly jealous when Gunther and CeCe were dancing together.
The song that Gunther and CeCe danced to relates to Rocky and Gunther.
Rocky was upset that she wasn't chosen to dance on Good Morning Chicago, meaning either she wanted Gary to choose her and CeCe, or her and Gunther.
At first, Rocky was eager to help Tinka make CeCe sick, in order for her not to be able to dance with Gunther, and possiblly hoping that Gary would pick her to dance with Gunther if CeCe couldn't.
After the first dance in the beginning of the show, when Gary said "Two of Shake It Up Chicago's best dancers" Rocky & Gunther stared right at eachother for 5 seconds, smiling.
When CeCe said "I wish she (Rocky) was here right now" Gunther nodded, like he agreed and wanted Rocky there too.
After CeCe complimented Gunther, Gunther said "Well you can only do as good as your partner" motioning at Rocky, saying Rocky is a good a dancer as CeCe.
Gunther (And Tinka) popped up in the window admitting they locked Rocky and CeCe in the room, maybe because Gunther (And Tinka) didn't want Rocky to get blamed.
During Gunther and CeCes dance when Tinka sneaked behind Rocky and said "It's enough to make you barf up your lunch, right?" Rockys responce sounded like she was talking about the fact of Gunther and CeCe dancing together, and not because she wasn't chosen.
Rocky pretended she was happy for CeCe, possibly trying to hide her jealously of her getting to dance with Gunther.
In court, Gunther wore lime green, the Runther color.
Rocky said there was alot to like about the Hessenheffers (or Gunther), but she said that they owed them money. That may be only one of the reasons.
Gunther (and Tinka) were constantly teasing Cece, but not Rocky (as much), possibly having to do with Gunther not wanting them too. It appears that way in a lot of episodes.
During Cece's flashback, Gunther supposedly called Cece and Rocky 'Stinky and the Brain'. It seems like Cece's nickname was more harsh than Rocky's.
Gunther dumped the pennies on CeCes homework and left Rockys alone.
Rocky and Gunther were arguing mostly to each other at the end.

When the judge said something confusing, Rocky said "What Is that supposed to mean?" and after when she said something confusing again, Gunther said "Which means what exactly?"

During Rockys flashback when Rocky (And CeCe) were dancing, It looked like Gunther was looking at Rocky the whole time.
