"Watch Me" is the second single released from the soundtrack Shake It Up: Break It Down (2011), for the television series Shake It Up on Disney Channel. It was first heard on the series's first episode under the original Margaret Durante version which premiered on November 7, 2010 in North America, seven months before the single's actual release. The girls recorded the cover song in April of 2011, as multiple pictures were tweeted and news outlet's reported. The original song was heard in several other episodes of Shake It Up .

Margaret Durante's version was not planned to be a single, but before the music video of the cover by Bella Thorne and Zendaya came out, and it was released as the second single of the soundtrack and was successful.
There's very little difference between Margaret Durante's version and the Bella Thorne/Zendaya's version. The instrumentals are very similar, but more amped up and filtered in the background for Bella and Zendaya's version. Also, Margaret Durante's vocals can still be heard in the background of Bella and Zendaya's version.
The remix was criticized for the amount of auto-tune used in it, especially in regards to the auto-tune use on Bella's voice, although Zendaya also used it. Despite this, the remix did recieve positive reviews from critics, as well.

The music video was released on June 21, 2011 on Disney Channel, Radio Disney, and YouTube. It was also released on YouTube's related site VEVO.
At the begining, it portrays Thorne and Zendaya taking a photoshoot. Then they see people in a building dancing, and they go there to dance with them. They were wearing nice outfits
