The Disney Channel Universe is a universe in which several Disney Channel sitcoms exist and take place within. This universe has also managed to extend to Disney XD, Netflix, UPN, TGIF and even the Disney Channel Latin American TV Shows. It was first established back in the 2000s, with three shows, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, That's So Raven and Hannah Montana who had a major crossover entitled That's So Suite Life of Hannah Montana. This universe is quite massive and a very strange one, housing Time Travelers, Wizards, Phsyics, Alternate Dimensions, Portals, Talking Dogs, Demons, Worlocks, Bionic Superhumans, Superheroes, Witches, Talking puppets, Spies, etc.

Trivia[]

Doppelgängers[]

Due to crossovers, multiple characters portrayed by the same actor/actress now exist in the shared Universe. Examples include:

  • Ruggero Pasquarelli played Matteo Balsano in Soy Luna. He also played Federico in Violetta. This is quite common with the Disney Channel Latin American TV Series, as Rodrigo Pedreira who portrayed Gregorio on Violetta, played Rey on Soy Luna. Germán Tripel who played Rafa Palmer on Violetta, also played Cato on Soy Luna as well as Diego Alcalá who plays Tino on the same show, and portrayed Marotti on Violetta.
  • Selena Gomez plays Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place and Mikayla on Hannah Montana. On Jessie, a character mentions Selena Gomez by name, which shows and confirms that there is 2 Alex Russo Doppelgängers exisiting in the same universe.
  • Bella Thorne plays Cece Jones on Shake It Up!, and also makes a guest appearance on K.C. Undercover, which Zendaya stars in, who plays K.C. Cooper. Zendaya also starred on Shake It Up! and Rocky Blue, and the name ''Rocky Blue'' was mentioned in an episode of K.C. Undercover. Zendaya appeared in an episode of A.N.T. Farm, which confirms that Rocky Blue has two Doppelgängers that exist within the same universe, and Bella Thorne also had a role on Wizards of Waverly Place, which confirms as well that CeCe has two Doppelgängers that are existing in the same universe.
  • Sheryl Lee Ralph who is best known playing Dee on Moesha, had a role on Hannah Montana, making her have one other Doppelgänger.
  • Miley Cyrus played two different characters on her show, Hannah Montana. She played Miley Stewart's evil cousin, which confirms Miley has one Doppelgänger existing in the same universe.
  • Like the situation with Selena Gomez, real life celebrities, actors and actresses, also have Disney Channel Doppelgänger counterparts. An example of this would be Ashley Tisdale. In The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, High School Musical, which is a DCOM and not apart of the Universe, is mentioned in an episode of the TV Series. Ashley Tisdale is one of the main leads in the movie and plays Maddie on the show, and in the same episode, Maddie says that people say that she looks like Ashley Tisdale, which her friends reply to, saying that they don't see it, which is a running gag in the episode. This episode of The Suite Life places both Maddie and her actress, Ashley Tisdale within the same universe. High School Musical is also confirmed to be a movie in this universe, and actors/actresses such as Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron and Monique Coleman have all guest stared on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody also making them share the universe with their Disney Channel Doppelgänger counterparts. This is the same case for Corbin Bleu, who was on Hannah Montana. This is also a case for Brandy from Moesha, who actually met her show Doppelgänger counterpart in an episode.

Inconsistances:[]

  • On Shake It Up! , a character references the show Wizards of Waverly Place, but both Wizards and Shake it Up! exist in the same universe.
  • In an episode of Moesha, a character is seen watching TV, with the Moesha theme song playing on the television. It's quite possible, that Moesha exists as both a TV Series and as real life.
  • Who the POTUS (President of The United States) is, causes quite confusion. In the Disney Channel Original Series before 2009, the President is President Richard Martinez, however, by the 2010 era of the Disney Channel Original Series, it seems that Barack Obama has susceeded him.

Connection to Latin American TV Shows:[]

Disney Channel Latin American productions such as Violetta, Soy Luna and Peter Punk are considered to be apart of the Universe through multiple connections. Examples follow:

  • Peter Punk had a straight crossover with Zeke and Luther. Zeke and Luther had a character of the name Dale Lewis, who was reporting weather reports. Dale Lewis also appeared on Kickin' It and Pair of Kings reporting the same weather report, which was a heat wave happening on all three shows. Kickin' It also features a tablet called ''myTab'' which is a product on Good Luck Charlie, which has had a crossover with Jessie. Jessie is the only show in Disney Channel history to have many crossovers. The show has crossed over with K.C. Undercover, Austin & Ally, Liv & Maddie, I Didn't Do It as well as The Suite Life Series, connecting the show and the other shows it has crossed over with to the 2000s Disney Channel Original Series' such as That's So Raven, Hannah Montana, Cory in the House and Wizards of Waverly Place. Since Peter Punk has crossed over with Violetta which has had a direct crossover with Soy Luna, all three shows could potentially, as well as confirmed to be existing in the same universe as each-other, could also exist in the Disney Channel Universe, (also alternatively called Disney Channel Live-Action Universe), with nearly all the Disney Channel sitcoms, and not just the Disney Channel Sitcoms to, but also with the TGIF, Netflix and UPN shows such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World, Moesha and others which also take place in the Universe.
  • Real life celebrities such as Bridigit Mendler and Sofia Carson have both appeared on Violetta and Soy Luna, have appeared on Disney Channel shows such as Good Luck Charlie and Austin & Ally. Like the situation with Ashley Tisdale exisitng in the same universe as her Disney Channel Doppelgänger, Maddie Fitzpatrick, evidence further shows that these two people could also be sharing a universe with their very own Doppelgängers as well. Bridgit also appeared on Wizards of Waverly Place, so could potentially have two Doppelgängers existing in the same universe.
  • Shows such as Violetta and Soy Luna do not seem to show any kind of supernatural or magical elements to the show, so if all of this were to be taken into account, they could very well be existing in the same universe as Witches, Wizards, Talking Dogs, Spies, Demons, Portals, Alternate Worlds, Time Travel, Bionic Superhumans, Superheroes, Phsyics and Angels.

Expanding Universe[]

  • The Disney Channel Universe grows each day with new shows being added to the Universe. The universe could also potentially be apart of the Tommy Westphall Universe, which is a theory that nearly every single show in existance, all takes place in the mind of a young boy, and also exists in the same universe as one another.
